How ADPI Saved Me
I’ve been writing and editing for the blog for a while now – and I think it’s time to get a little personal.
When I tell people that working for ADPI changed my life – it’s not an exaggeration. Not only did it CHANGE IT; it SAVED me.
We have people who question whether our intentions are good as a company – if we’re really working toward helping active duty, veterans, reservists, guard members, military spouses, etc get a tight hold on their financial futures. I assure you – you won’t see a better and more kind-hearted, motivated team out there in the business.
In fall of 2019, I found ADPI after starting my Virtual Assistant business. You see, I was lost. We had just moved to Japan (my first overseas trip EVER – let alone an overseas move) I was homesick and depressed–and with the kids back in school, I NEEDED something.
Enter: Active Duty Passive Income. I caught wind that they were looking for interns. After learning that they were a real estate investing education company centered around military – it was a perfect fit. I had just finished up as a real estate agent in FL after 5 years—and my husband and I had started investing in 2017. I reached out and was contacted by our now-COO Victoria Griggs and our VP of Member Experience, Jill Campbell. They welcomed me with open arms and started me out with blog posts. I loved it!
As time went on, I was increasingly amazed at how tight-knit, kind, and helpful the team was. They focus so much on growth – not only as a company, but as an individual. The encouragement, coaching, and feedback was unlike anything I had ever seen. This – this was DIFFERENT. Now, I was turning into an ADPI Superfan. I asked for more projects: “What else can I help with? Use me!”, started helping with the FB Group moderation, and continued with the blog.
Soon, I was offered the position of ADPI Community Manager and I was thrilled to be the first full-time employee of Active Duty Passive Income. It’s been an absolute whirlwind ever since. I believe the group was at around 10,000 when I started – we’ve grown to over 54,000 members. This community is everything – I’m so proud to be a part of it
If you’ve ever had a doubt about Team ADPI’s intentions… I have to tell you that you shouldn’t. I watch this team work so hard every single day to bring the community what they want and need to succeed. Their blood, sweat, and tears go into this company – yes, it’s a business, but it’s SO much more than that. A lot of the instructors, directors, etc that you see – they are also owners and some work full or part-time on other businesses while still putting every bit of their heart into Active Duty Passive Income.
Working with ADPI not only helped me contribute financially, but it gave me purpose and confidence that I have never had before. I’ve ALWAYS struggled with self-esteem/self worth (and still do sometimes), but the team at ADPI continues to help mold me into the person—and leader—that I want to be. They continually encourage me to work on myself and keep improving – we have the hard conversations and the moments of growth and recognition are huge and sometimes emotional.
I will forever be an ADPI Superfan. I see the background and the work that the team puts in. I see how much they want our members to succeed. This community is the best around – and no one can change my mind.
If you didn’t know, we have ADPICON coming up this Fall in New Orleans on October 21-23, 2022. I highly recommend you take the trip out to see us – we can’t wait to meet you and spend in-person time with our amazing community. See you there!
