As the sun recently set on a stellar 28-year Army career, he now embarks on a continued effort of service to our military, past and present; a journey that is already brightening a new horizon for ADPI.
Active Duty Passive Income, LLC is pleased to announce that Colonel (Ret.) Brad Osterman has joined a new set of ranks as the Director of ADPI Lending. This is a big job for the growing company and there couldn’t be a better fit with Osterman.
To explain the career of COL Osterman in any abbreviated article will likely leave readers believing it’s a far-fetched fable – simply put, it’s incredible. But let’s try to paint a picture by looking at some of the posts he has held:
-Commander, D Co. 2nd Battalion, 82nd Aviation Brigade
-MH-60K and MH-60L Maintenance Test Pilot, F Co. 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR)
-Commander, D Co. 3rd Battalion, 160th SOAR
-Battalion XO, 3rd Battalion, 160th SOAR
-Special Operations Command Central, MacDill AFB
-Regimental XO, 160th SOAR
-Chief of Staff, Army Special Operations Aviation Command
-Director of Assessment, US Special Operations Command, Rotary Wing and Maritime Programs
“Having known Brad for over fifteen years, one word comes immediately to mind – respect. Knowing his commitment and dedication to the Special Operations mission, we are certain his leadership on the ADPI team will translate seamlessly. His new position will play a vital role connecting our military community with the financial products and services ADPI Lending has to offer – continuing to put our members’ needs first,” reports ADPI Co-Founder Eric Upchurch, who served under Osterman.
Brad’s unique knack for understanding the nuances in taking over a Command, making impact with tactical and tactful finesse, understanding the objective, and his acute attention to detail as an elite Special Operations pilot, have all contributed to a successful transition to ADPI. Osterman successfully navigated uncharted waters through a grueling six-month, high-intensity ADPI Skillbridge internship.
Okay, okay, so it wasn’t quite as rigorous as the notorious 160th Special Operations Qualification Course (Green Platoon), or the 130 months deployed (yes, that’s over 10 years of his career in combat), but he was given quite a workload and a lot of long days were put in to earn this top spot. ADPI leadership could not be more excited to add his passion and skillset to the company.
“Transitioning from active duty to Active Duty Passive Income [ADPI] has been a breeze. Leaving the military is terrifying, but ADPI and AMNET Mortgage are my new “Team Room.” I get to work with, around, and for military-affiliated people, pass along knowledge and mentorship every day, and learn from a network of people all focused on helping themselves and others reach their financial goals. What more could you ask for in your next career? I am honored to be a part of the ADPI Team and Family,” Brad explains.
As Director, Osterman will be tasked with duties as a full time Branch Manager, Loan Officer, and developing a thorough training program and SOPs for new and existing ADPI Lending team members to ensure healthy growth of the ADPI branch. He will create opportunities for ADPI to stay at the forefront of lending through innovation, foresight, and having a constant pulse on the industry.
Having prepared USSOCOM’s five-year, $64 billion Program Objective Memorandum, Brad will find his capabilities on the team and within the company to be more than adequate as the ADPI mortgage branch aims to double its already impressive production this year.
Osterman exemplifies the culture of education, integrity, and ownership already found within ADPI and the company is fortunate to grow with him.
Brad lives near Tampa, Florida, with his wife Adrienne and children.
